The power valve controls the main exhaust port at low r.p.m. the valve is closed lowering the main port timing give it great low end power as the engine increase in r.p.m. the valve open giving you great top end power this valve can be ajusted by screwing the bolt in this will increase spring pressure and make the valve open later I like to use a power valve cylinder even if iam drag racing it just makes it easier to turn around, to line up and harder to stall. The one thing a power valve cylinder can do is increase gas milege the engine is more efficent.
