Iam going to talk about pipe designs ( iam going to kept this as short as possiable ) Why our pipe works on a 250 engines and big bore cylinder kits When designing a pipe it has more to do with the stroke then the bore that determines the pipe length the stinger size is a little to big for a 250 engine ( my opinion ) this is why we use 1.125 stinger size For bigger engines i recommed a center mount pipe this pipe has a shorter stinger making more power and less engine heat The bigger stinger ( 1.250 ) dont have a strong reflection wave as a smaller stinger some of the refilling is lost When designing a pipe for differant power bands the rear cone is very inportant this is the last cone right before the stinger A long cone makes a long and smooth power band with a small lost of peak power the trx5,trx6,trx7, are good examples The trx9,trxmx,trx11, pipes use a short rear cone this makes a hard hitting power but shorter power band with great peak power (Shorter rear cones refills the cylinder but over a shorter r.p.m. range ) The trx 11 pipe is very large the pipe size makes stepper cone angles and this increase the peak power When you increase the length of the pipe it makes more low end power When you shorten the pipe it makes more top end This is why a trx7 is longer then a trx5 This is only the begining of designing a two stroke pipe . ( i hope this helps on your pipe choice )
